Description du build

A brawler tank that calls with a deafening howl. Tormenter is the backbone of this build, turning Explosive Charge and Brutal Pounce into a group provoke. Otherwise, Willow's Path makes up the other side of this build: recovery! Essentially, this works to counter the high costs of werewolf abilities, giving you free reign to run about with your claws out. This build is especially great if you don't want to taunt just one or two enemies, and would prefer to be the eye of an enemy storm. Craglorn is a breeze with this solo, and your DPSs will love you for all the buffs you give them and the heat you take away. Ideal as an off-tank for Trials, as you can soak up all the trash for your team.

The balance between werewolf and human is important to how this works.

Werewolf is our heavy tank, best at single targets or cutting down fodder.
~ +15% Stamina Recovery while slotted (human form too)
~ +30% Max Stamina
~ +18% Weapon and Spell Damage
~ -10% Damage Taken
~ +30% Movement Speed
~ 50% more Heavy Attack Stamina return
~ 2 Direwolves - which apply 30% snare and Minor Maim (-5% damage done) to enemies
~ Major Resolve (+5948 Physical and Spell resistance)
~ Major Savagery (+2629 Weapon Critical)
~ Major Brutality (+20% Weapon Damage)
~ Minor Courage (+215 Weapon and Spell Damage) to you and your group
And that's just for transforming! The werewolf toolkit is truly comprehensive, giving us access to Empower for our allies, Major Breach, Off Balance, more Minor Maim, great Magicka and Stamina Heals, burst damage, AoE damage, fear, group provoke, a unique Weapon and Spell Damage buff, Health and Stamina recovery, Disease Bleed and Physical damage (with their status effects)!
The only downside is +25% damage from poison and +10% damage from fighter's guild skills. In my experience, these are rarely a real problem outside of incredibly poison heavy environments, and that's just what the transform back button is for.

Her human form isn't so damaging, but it makes up for it with a more measured approach. More of the abilities have room for adapting and sitting on higher resource values. I use this if a situation is particularly unpredictable, and I need to guarantee some stamina reserves or the like.

This is just what I use though, as this build could effectively work on just about any class with minimal reshuffling. All you need is an AoE charge, like Stampede from the 2 handed skill line, and then every other skill is fair game.

The thing that really makes this build work is the recovery though (hence my preference for Templar). Magicka and Stamina are equally useful to us, and as long as we have one then we're probably not going down easily. This lets us see-saw between the two, recovering one while the other keeps us upright. Stacking raw on % recover boosts lets us get on with using all our shields and heals without worrying about resource management. The recovery gets crazy high here, like 2000+ on all of them and 4000+ on health kind of high.

We also have three decent choices for Mythic:
- Torc of Tonal Constancy will completely guarantee that sustain is a thing of the past, even while being a Werewolf. It fully ensures that there is no time when we're out of buttons to press, allowing us to howl and slash to our heart's content. There is a certain intensity to this playstyle, forcing you to constantly have low resources, but never quite out if you do it right.
- Gaze of Sithis is a powerful choice for this build. The 0 protection block is pretty rough, but comes with absolutely insane general survivability. She can face tank some of the hardest hits in the game, and with a good handle of dodging she really shines. You will need to play more deliberately than the mania of Torc, but with 5000 health recovery and awesome armour and health you'll do incredibly well if you play it right. Especially great if you plan to solo or PvP.
- Oakensoul Ring is my personal favourite (for basically any build). It locks you to one bar, but gives a stupid amount of buffs in return. With werewolf, you only have one bar anyway, so it's essentially free. There's a bit of overlap in what werewolf gives you and what Oakensoul gives you, but you'll still be coming out of it from one little ring with:
~ +5% Damage Done
~ +10% Critical Damage Done
~ -5% Damage Taken
~ +8% Healing Done
~ +15% Magicka Recovery
~ +5% PvE Damage Done
~ -5% PvE Damage Taken
~ +80% Heavy Attack Damage
~ Ult Gen to get Werewolf
~ Many WW bonuses as a human

If you can't get Mythics or you just don't like what's above, I'd recommend The Troll King monster set. It's vanilla friendly, and will boost your health recovery by a lot in a pinch.

Last of all, Tormentor is totally fine in solo and PvP content for the resistances, but if you want to push the envelope there I'd recommend a set of Eternal Vigor. It'll add some good reactivity to your regen without having to react yourself.
