Build description
These are the recommended end-game skills for a Magicka Sorcerer. Recommended Gear, Traits, Enchants and CP are further down in our guide.
If you need help or have any questions don't hesitate to ask in the discussion channel!
Potions: This build doesn't require specific potions.
Food: Ghastly Eye Bowl or Solitude Salmon-Millet Soup if you need health.
Rotation:
- Apply all DOTs (Damage Over Time skills) and buffs
- Every 6th ability, cast Daedric Prey
- Any time all DOTs are ticking use Crystal Fragments as your spammable
- Whenever a DOT or buff falls off, reapply it. Prioritize Barbed Trap and Critical Surge.
- Use Storm Atronach on bosses whenever you have it
Your rotation will basically look like:
Skill 1 --> Skill 2 --> Skill 3 --> Skill 4 --> Skill 5 --> Daedric Prey, repeat
Flawless Dawnbreaker and Inner Light are what we call "bar buffers". Meaning we never actually use these skills, they are simply there for the slotted bonusses and/or the skill-line passives they provide for us.
Flex options:
Unlike the other classes, we recommend you to START USING SPELL POWER POTIONS AS EARLY AS YOU CAN, since the pets make it difficult to get all the essential buffs going without losing out on important skills.
These potions allow you to change out Inner Light and Critical Surge for these skills:
Inner Light --> Mages' Wrath
Critical Surge --> Hurricane
This pushes the damage potential of this build a lot higher.
When you go for these changes, your spammable becomes Mages' Wrath when a boss gets to 20% health. Keep casting Crystal Fragments when it procs (when the icon changes).
Weapon choices:
This build runs a Flame Staff on both bars. You can also go for dual Daggers on the front bar and a Greatsword on the back bar and make these changes:
Unstable Wall --> Stampede
(Optionally Hurricane --> Carve)
