Build description

Greetings. This is a new Magicka Nightblade tank that I present to this website that I found to be very useful in dungeons and group PVE. I made the character a Breton for Extra Magicka, Spell Resistance, and Reduced cost of spells. It has great resource management, pretty decent self-healing, and can taunt many enemies. It stands out as a build because not many think to use it. In the right hands, it can really help some groups out. The idea of using light armor seems insane to most people, especially with a nightblade, but it works. It requires a high amount of Champion Points, but that is its only downside in my opinion. I see it as a great build and I apologize for the long list of things below what I am writing. The exact build and stats that I put on here are off of a character at Champion Rank 690, which is the maximum Champion Rank in the Clockwork City update. I hope those who see this build enjoy it as I do, and most importantly have fun.

It uses the abilities as follows:

Sword and Shield Bar

Refreshing Path- Use this as a small self and group heal over time.

Inner Rage- This is a magicka based taunt that can be used at range.

Absorb Magic- This is an ability that reduces the cost of blocking by 8% and increases the amount of damage you can block.

Sap Essence- This is a good AOE self heal as well as group heal for people around you that does decent damage.

Funnel Health- This is a good burst damage ability that helps you heal yourself as well as one other person.

Ultimate-Soul Harvest---When you kill things or a group member kills things, it gives you ultimate, which is good for a tank.

Restoration Staff Bar

Healing Ward- Puts a shield over yourself or an ally with low health and heals them.

Double take- Grants you a 20% dodge chance and makes you move 30% faster for 4 seconds after activation

Siphoning Attacks- This gives you a chance to get a good amount of stamina and magicka back from basic attacks on enemies as well as gives you stamina and magicka from light attacks.

Mutagen- This is a good heal over time that does a burst heal for someone at low health.

Healing Springs- This is basically to help out weak healers or try to heal when the healer isn't present or is down.

Ultimate-Sturdy Horn---This gives yourself and anyone who is close to you 10% more magicka, stamina, and health for a lengthy amount of time. This is useful in dungeons and very useful in trials.

A very big part of this build is armor. The list of armor to try to get is as follows:

Cuirass of Fortified Brass---Heavy---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Gloves of Fortified Brass---Light---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Guards of Fortified Brass---Medium---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Shoes of Fortified Brass---Light---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Sash of Fortified Brass---Light---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Engine Guardian's Guise---Light---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

Engine Guardian's Epaulets---Light---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment

The List of Weapons is as follows:
Sword of Spectre's Eye---Defending---Legendary
Shield of Spectre's Eye---Sturdy---Legendary---Health Enchantment
Restoration Staff of Spectre's Eye---Powered---Legendary

The List of Jewelry is as follows:
Ring of Willpower---Healthy---Magicka Recovery Enchantment
Ring of Willpower---Healthy---Magicka Recovery Enchantment
Necklace of Willpower---Healthy---Magicka Recovery Enchantment

The Champion Points I set up are:

Warrior Tree: 52 Into Spell Shield for Spell Resistance in The Steed-----100 into Light Armor Focus for Physical Resistance in The Lady-----78 into Quick Recovery for more healing received in The Lord

Mage Tree: 100 into Elemental Expert for self-heal and damage in The Apprentice-----100 into Blessed for more self-heal in The Apprentice---30 into Thaumaturge for DOT effects in The Ritual

The litch schriebIs this character good for both pve and pvp?

It is mainly a PVE build for dungeons and trials. I don't think it works in PVP.
